The Process

Traditional ground glass is fragile, costly, and difficult to manufacture at home. To address this, we developed an accessible DIY alternative using readily available materials and tools.

Required Materials & Tools:

• Plexiglass: 63mm x 173mm

• Air compressor equipped with a sandblasting nozzle

• Baking soda (as the abrasive medium)

Method: Utilizing baking soda instead of conventional blasting sand yields a highly uniform, matte finish. For optimal results, ensure that only one side of the plexiglass is treated.
